Mr Theo manyama Golf Day and Award Ceremony

Theo Manyama is passionate about golf. He played professional golf from 1970 to 1989 on the Sunshine Tour, whereafter he worked as an Assistant Tournament Director for the Sunshine Tour in 1990. In 1996 Theo wrote and passed the Royal and Ancient Rules examination leading him to become the Tournament Director for the Sunshine Tour. He is currently the Rules Director (Chief Referee) for the Sunshine Tour.

Amongst several of other accolades, Theo received the Honorary Life Membership and Masters Professional Certificate by the South African PGA. This is the highest award given out by the South African PGA. He has also been inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame. 

Theo is establishing a Golf Academy which will involve teaching and mentoring young golfers, including conducting courses on the Rules of Golf and issuing certificates approved by the SAGA and Royal and Ancient.

Golf and Beyond saw it feet to award the 2021 Black Excellence Awards to Theo Manyama as an outstanding black South African who has achieved extraordinarily in golf locally and globally, having officiated at 16 US Masters, 9 US Opens and 19 consecutive British Open Championships. We have also undertaken to assist him in the establishment of his Golf Academy.
